Interactive 3D circuit simulation

CircuiTry3D is an interactive 3D circuit simulator for exploring modeled circuit behavior and learning electrical engineering concepts.

Interactive 3D circuit simulation with component references and failure-mode learning tools.

Students, makers, and engineers can assemble circuits, stress-test components, and visualize current flow from wire scale to quantum-inspired probability clouds.

A platform for learning with real-world component behavior

The current application source implements a 3D builder, a DC solver, a Component Arena, practice tools, an integrated textbook, classroom workflows, and an arcade challenge mode.

3D Circuit Builder

Build DC circuits in a 3D workspace with batteries, resistors, LEDs, switches, grounds, and junctions. Live W.I.R.E. analysis tracks Watts, Current, Resistance, and Voltage.

Five-scale Current Flow

Move from directional wire flow to charge carriers, a copper crystal lattice, thermal vibration, and quantum-inspired electron probability visuals.

Component Arena

Stress-test components individually or side by side with configurable voltage, frequency, temperature, humidity, duty cycle, duration, and load impedance. The application supports reference component data, part identifiers, and datasheet links for modeled Arena scenarios.

Adaptive Practice

Practice worksheets respond to recent W.I.R.E. misses and include Ohm's Law, Kirchhoff's Laws, resistor color code, and worked solutions.

Integrated Textbook

Study two years of electrical-engineering topics in the app, from fundamentals through advanced circuit analysis.

Learn by doing

Challenge mode awards XP, streak bonuses, badges, and component unlocks through three built-in arcade games: RetroCircuitMaze, OhmsRacer, and VoltFighter.

Failure Understanding Simulation Engine

FUSE helps make failure modes teachable.

FUSE is CircuiTry3D's component-risk and failure-analysis engine. It evaluates modeled thermal, voltage, power, and humidity conditions against component ratings and reports a risk score, failure mode, and recommended action.

The same analysis is used in the builder and Component Arena, so learners can connect a simulated circuit condition to a plain-language explanation of component stress.

  • Rated-limit analysis: modeled temperature, power, voltage, and humidity conditions.
  • Named failure modes: thermal runaway, overvoltage, dielectric breakdown, power overload, and more.
  • Risk guidance: safe, stressed, warning, critical, and failed states with recommended next steps.
  • Visual feedback: the builder includes failure effects such as arcs, smoke, glow, melt, and burst.
